Privacy policy

What we collect

• Your email address and display name, used to sign you in.
• The links, screenshots and notes you save, and the details extracted from them.
• Your lists, tags and settings, and optionally your city and device location if you allow it.
• Usernames you link (Instagram, Threads, TikTok), typed by you, so mentions of @save.to.sort can reach your library.
• Push notification subscriptions, if you turn notifications on.
• Billing status from our payment provider. We do not see or store card numbers.

Mentions on Instagram and Threads

When someone mentions @save.to.sort in a comment, caption or post, Meta sends us a notice. We read only the mentioned post's public link, its public author username and the text of the mention. We use them to save the link to the person who mentioned us. We do not read private messages, and we do not access anyone's account, followers or other content.

Mentions on TikTok

When someone comments @save.to.sort on a TikTok video, optionally followed by a list name, the TikTok API for Business mention webhook notifies us. We read only:

• the commenter's public username,
• the comment text, only to read the list name,
• the video link and the public video metadata needed to show the saved item.

We match the username to a user who linked it in the app and add the video to that user's library. If nobody has linked it yet, we hold the mention until they do. We then reply to the comment from our own account with a short confirmation.

We do not access private accounts, private messages, follower lists or other users' analytics, and we do not scrape. We do not sell or share TikTok data with third parties, use it for advertising or profiling, or train models on it. Saved items are visible only to you and to the lists you choose to share. You can unlink your TikTok username and delete saves or your whole account at any time, and deleting removes the saved data.

How we use it

• To run the service: saving, organizing, searching and showing your library.
• To extract details from saved links using AI and to make search work.
• To send notifications you have turned on.
• To keep the service secure and to prevent abuse.

We do not sell your data. We use your saves to train models only if you turn that setting on, and never data received from TikTok.

Who processes it

We use service providers to host data, send email, process payments, look up places and maps, and run AI extraction and search. They handle data only to provide those services to us.

Your choices

• Export your data or delete your account in Settings.
• Unlink an Instagram, Threads or TikTok username in Settings, Linked accounts.
• To have data removed that came from a social mention, see data deletion.

Account deletion removes your saves, lists and profile. Backups are cleared on our normal rotation.
